Regardless of the type of schedule being worked on, the powerful and feature-rich functionality is the same.

Fixed Schedule

Every time you load a fixed schedule, the same PMs, work orders and/or resources that were specified when you created the schedule are loaded in the Gantt.

This type of schedule is used when you want to:

Forecast your Preventive Maintenance
  • In this type of schedule you specify which PMs you want to forecast, and the labors or workgroups that make up the resource pool for your schedule. You can even add existing Maximo work orders that need to be considered as part of the overall workload. Your PM forecast duration can be over weeks, months or even years. Thanks to the multi-Gantt layouts you get a simultaneous view of your work orders, and the availability of your resources for the duration of your schedule.
Work with a static set of existing work orders
  • This is useful for scheduling a known set of existing work orders based on a criteria such as work orders for a given asset or for a group of locations.
Plan an entire shutdown
  • You can manually insert "Unbound" Work Orders in AKWIRE™ and specify their associated Maximo® data such as Asset, Location, Job Plan and Labor requirements and achieve the desired resource leveling and then publish the schedule into Maximo® to create all your work orders at once.

Floating Schedule

This type of schedule dynamically loads all existing work orders from Maximo® that meet a pre-defined criteria, for example work orders of specific types and/or statuses, along with a specified time range. It is perfect for a scheduler or planner that wants to work with an existing weekly, bi-weekly or monthly workload.

The floating schedule also allows a user to go back in time and bring into the schedule the work order backlog.

Unlike a fixed schedule, a floating schedule will not always load the same work orders every time it is opened. For example; as your Maximo® work orders are closed or completed, the ones loaded in the schedule may vary each time the schedule is opened.
