 The AKWIRE™ Meter Readings module allows
inspectors or technicians to do their meter reading rounds in a
fully disconnected mode while having access to all required
information about each meter. The meter information in
Maximo® is downloaded to a mobile device prior to a round and can
be filtered by location or groups based on the logged in user. When used with the ink-enabled or touch screen user interface provided by a
Tablet PC, the user can quickly enter readings, edit meter
details while also having access to previous readings.
An indicator clearly identifies all missing meter readings to
assist the technician in completing his/her round.
Once all the meter readings have been captured, the user simply
connects the mobile device to the network and initiates the
synchronization process to transfer the meter data back into the AKWIRE™ tables,
and Maximo®, where applicable.
Some of the features include:
- View meter readings history
- Shows missing meter readings
- Download and display location information to help the user physically locate
the meter
- Include other editable meter details such as Serial Number, Manufacturer,
Long Description, and any other attribute you need to update Maximo®
- No scrolling required. Everything is accessible from one screen

The AKWIRE™ Meter Readings Administrator module is used by the supervisor to
monitor the progress of the meter reading round, and to view
historical readings and generate reports for billing:
- Microsoft® Outlook® style Group by to organize your data the way you need
it
- Retains historical readings for as long as you want
- Missing readings indicator with drilldown capability offering a detailed view
to monitor the progress
- Editable feature to correct suspicious or wrong entries
- Capable of creating Microsoft® Excel® reports based on your custom report
templates
- Define an e-mail distribution list by Location and send the reports using Microsoft®
Outlook®
